Cycling Mount Kinabalu Foothill – Day Trip

Time: 07:00 – 16:00 | Grade: Medium–Hard | Terrain: Road, Gravel, Rocks, Uphill & Downhill | Distance: 16–20 km

Itinerary

07:00 – Pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
2-hour drive to Kundasang Highlands with coffee/tea break at Nabalu Highland Native Market and a chance to view Mount Kinabalu (weather permitting).
Safety briefing at Kundasang, bike fitting and overview of routes with your guide.
Start the cycling adventure: 16–20 km off-road terrain of gravel, rocks, mud and technical trails, with options for long downhills or steep uphills.
Ride through vegetable plantations and cattle farms with stunning highland scenery.
Packed lunch or lunch at a local café, depending on the chosen route and pace.
Ride concludes around 14:00, followed by a short coffee/tea break.
2.5-hour return drive to Kota Kinabalu. Drop-off at hotel by late afternoon.
