Kinabalu Park Adventure – 2 Days / 1 Night

Explore the beauty of Kinabalu Park and Kundasang with its rich history, stunning landscapes and cultural highlights. From hot springs and tea gardens to memorials and dairy farms, this short adventure combines nature, relaxation, and heritage in Sabah’s highlands.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang (L/D)

  • 08:00 – Pick up for 2½ hours drive along the Crocker Range ridge.
  • Stop at Nabalu Handicraft Market – local produce, souvenirs, and views of Mount Kinabalu (weather permitting).
  • Visit Kinabalu Park (1,560m): Natural History Gallery & short forest trails.
  • Lunch at local restaurant.
  • Visit Kundasang War Memorial (est. 1962) – four gardens commemorating Australian and British POWs of WWII.
  • Explore Desa Cattle Farm (2,100m ASL), known as the “Little New Zealand of Sabah.”
  • Check-in Kundasang hotel.
  • Evening steamboat dinner at local restaurant.
  • Overnight at Kundasang area.

Day 2 – Kundasang to Kota Kinabalu (B/L)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Visit Fish Therapy at River Moroli (Kg. Luanti, Ranau) – natural fish spa with Pelian fish.
  • Continue to Sabah Tea Garden for a factory tour & tea experience. Lunch at local restaurant.
  • Proceed to Poring Hot Springs – enjoy leisure trek to the Canopy Walkway (41m above ground).
  • Free time to soak in open-air sulphur pools (optional private bath: MYR 15–20/hour, first-come basis).
  • Late afternoon return transfer to Kota Kinabalu.
