Mataking Island – Malaysia’s Paradise Island

Just an hour by boat from Semporna, Mataking Island is often called Malaysia’s Paradise Island. Surrounded by white sandy beaches, aquamarine seas, and vibrant marine life, it is home to The Reef Dive Resort – the only resort on the island, ensuring privacy and exclusivity.

The island is a haven for divers and snorkelers, with coral reefs right off the beach and access to world-famous Sipadan Island (about 80 minutes away by boat, permit required). Mataking is also known for Malaysia’s first Underwater Post Office, where you can send postcards while diving!

With its luxurious chalets, romantic ambience, and the indulgent Jamu Spa, Mataking has become a favourite for honeymooners seeking sun, sea, and unforgettable memories.
