Day 1 – Arrival in Kuching (D)
Morning/Afternoon: Arrival at Kuching International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Evening: Join your guide for a short walk to the Top Spot Seafood Court, famous for its lively atmosphere and fresh seafood. Welcome dinner with local delicacies. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching
Day 2 – Kuching to Nanga Sumpa (B/L/D)
Morning: Pick-up at 08:00 hrs for the overland journey to Batang Ai. Stop at Lachau Bazaar to explore the market and enjoy an early lunch. Afternoon: Continue to Batang Ai Lake. Board a longboat and travel upriver to Nanga Sumpa Lodge (arrival around 15:30 hrs). Check in and settle into the rainforest setting. Evening: Dinner at the lodge and time to relax. Accommodation: Nanga Sumpa Lodge
Day 3 – Enseluai Waterfall & Longhouse Visit (B/L/D)
Morning: After breakfast, hike jungle trails along the river and travel by longboat further upstream to the scenic Enseluai Waterfall. Swim, relax and enjoy the pristine surroundings. Afternoon: Riverside BBQ lunch prepared by your Iban hosts. Return to Nanga Sumpa Lodge. Evening: Visit Nanga Sumpa Longhouse. Spend time on the ruai (communal verandah), meet the Iban community and sample traditional rice wine. Accommodation: Nanga Sumpa Lodge
Day 4 – Nanga Sumpa to Kuching (B/L)
Morning: Breakfast at the lodge. Depart by longboat back to Batang Ai Lake jetty. Afternoon: Overland return to Kuching with lunch stop en route. Arrive at hotel around 16:30 hrs. Evening: Time free at leisure in Kuching. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching
Day 5 – Bako National Park (B/L)
Morning: Drive to Bako fishing village and board a speedboat to Bako National Park, Sarawak’s oldest protected area. Afternoon: Jungle trails with chances to see proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, bearded pigs, monitor lizards and exotic plants such as pitcher plants. Lunch in the park canteen. Evening: Return by boat and vehicle to Kuching. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching
Day 6 – Fly Kuching to Mulu (B)
Morning: Transfer to the airport for flight to Mulu. Afternoon: Walk on wooden plank paths through dipterocarp forest to Lang’s Cave and Deer Cave, famous for their limestone formations and bat colonies. Evening: Witness the spectacular bat exodus from Deer Cave before returning to the resort. Accommodation: Mulu Marriott Resort
Day 7 – Wind & Clearwater Caves (B/L)
Morning: Longboat ride on the Melinau River to Wind Cave and explore the impressive King’s Chamber. Afternoon: Continue to Clearwater Cave, Southeast Asia’s longest underground river system. Picnic lunch and swim in the natural pool outside the cave. Evening: Return to resort for leisure. Accommodation: Mulu Marriott Resort
Day 8 – Departure from Mulu (B)
Morning: Breakfast at the resort. Afternoon: Transfer to Mulu airport for onward journey. Accommodation: –
