Tour Itinerary
- Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and begin your Kuching city exploration.
- Visit Tua Pek Kong Temple (built in 1876), the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak, and enjoy views of Fort Margherita from the Waterfront.
- Continue to the modern Civic Centre for a panoramic view over the city.
- Drive past St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the Syariah Court, Malay stilt houses, and the riverside mosque.
- See the Astana, former palace of the White Rajahs and now the Governor’s residence.
- Pause at the old colonial Court House, complete with its Clock Tower and a granite obelisk commemorating Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah.
- Highlight: cross the Sarawak River in a traditional sampan water taxi and walk to Fort Margherita (built in 1880). Explore the Brooke Gallery for insights into Sarawak’s White Rajah history.
- Return to the city by sampan.
