Learn, cook and taste Sabah in our hands-on cooking class. Guided by Itisha, you’ll discover authentic local recipes, work with fresh seasonal ingredients from HAK’s Farm and the local market, and enjoy the meal you prepare together. More than just cooking, this class is about connecting with the stories, culture and flavors of Borneo.
Program Overview
Start time: 9:00 am | Duration: approx. 3–4 hours
- 9:00 am – Welcome & Introduction: Meet Itisha and get an overview of the day’s menu and ingredients.
- 9:15 am – Farm & Market Ingredients: Learn about the fresh produce used in Sabah’s cuisine – many of them harvested from our farm or sourced at the local market.
- 9:45 am – Hands-on Cooking: Step into the kitchen and prepare a selection of dishes step by step, guided by Itisha. Depending on the season, this may include jungle ferns, torch ginger, fresh fish, or tropical fruits.
- 12:00 pm – Shared Meal: Sit down together to enjoy the dishes you’ve cooked in a farm-to-table setting.
- 1:00 pm – Closing: Time for questions, sharing stories and taking home recipe notes.
