Discover Sarawak’s cultural and natural highlights in one week: meet orangutans at Semenggoh, explore Kuching’s heritage, journey upriver to Nanga Sumpa for an authentic Iban longhouse experience, and hike the trails of Bako National Park.

Day 1 – Arrival in Kuching (D)

Afternoon: Arrival at Kuching International Airport and transfer to hotel. Evening: Walk with your guide to the Top Spot Food Court for a welcome seafood dinner. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching

Day 2 – Semenggoh Orangutans & Kuching City Tour (B/L)

Morning: Visit Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to observe semi-wild orangutans in their forest reserve. Afternoon: Lunch in Kuching followed by a guided city tour: Tua Pek Kong temple, the Astana, colonial courthouse, Malay stilt houses, and a sampan river crossing to Fort Margherita and the Brooke Gallery. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching

Day 3 – Kuching to Nanga Sumpa (B/L/D)

Morning: 08:00 pick-up from hotel and drive to Batang Ai Reservoir, stopping at Lachau Bazaar for a local market visit and early lunch. Afternoon: Boat transfer upriver to Nanga Sumpa Lodge (approx. 1.5 hrs). Arrival and check-in. Evening: Dinner and time at leisure in the rainforest. Accommodation: Nanga Sumpa Lodge

Day 4 – Enseluai Waterfall & Longhouse Visit (B/L/D)

Morning: Hike jungle trails and continue by longboat to the scenic Enseluai Waterfall. Time to relax and swim. Afternoon: Riverside BBQ lunch prepared by Iban hosts. Later, return to the lodge. Evening: Visit Nanga Sumpa longhouse, meet the Iban community and sample traditional rice wine. Accommodation: Nanga Sumpa Lodge

Day 5 – Nanga Sumpa to Kuching (B/L)

Morning: Breakfast and longboat back to Batang Ai Lake jetty. Afternoon: Return drive to Kuching with lunch stop en route. Arrive late afternoon. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching

Day 6 – Bako National Park (B/L)

Morning: Drive to Bako village and take a boat to Sarawak’s oldest national park. Hike trails with chances to see proboscis monkeys, bearded pigs, pitcher plants and mangrove forests. Afternoon: Lunch at the park canteen. Later return to Kuching. Accommodation: Pullman Kuching

Day 7 – Departure (B)

Morning: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Kuching International Airport for onward travel. Accommodation: –
