3D2N Mulu National Park – Caves & Rainforest Wonders

Duration: 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1 – Arrival in Mulu & Deer and Lang’s Caves

• Morning: Pick-up from Mulu Airport and transfer to Gunung Mulu National Park. Check in at your accommodation and enjoy free time to explore the Interpretation Centre. Lunch at own expense.
• Afternoon: At 14:15 hrs depart from the Park HQ on a scenic 3 km plankwalk through primary rainforest to reach the entrance of Deer Cave, the world’s largest cave passage. The cave entrance is 150 m wide and 120 m high, with dramatic formations including a profile known as “Abraham Lincoln’s silhouette.” Nearby, visit Lang’s Cave, famous for its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
• Evening: From the Bat Observatory outside Deer Cave, watch as millions of bats emerge in a spectacular evening exodus. Return to HQ by torchlight and transfer back to your accommodation. Overnight in Mulu.

Accommodation: Longhouse Room at Park HQ (twin sharing)

Day 2 – Wind & Clearwater Caves (B/L)

• Morning: 08:45 hrs departure by longboat upriver to Wind Cave and its impressive King’s Chamber, decorated with stalactites and stalagmites of delicate patterns.
• Late Morning: Continue to Clearwater Cave via a plankwalk and 250 concrete steps. The cave is home to unique species including the endemic one-leaf plant, and photo-sensitive algae that form needle-like structures pointing toward the light.
• Afternoon: Near Clearwater Cave, relax or swim in a shaded pool surrounded by rainforest giants. Enjoy a simple picnic or packed lunch before returning to your accommodation. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in Mulu.

Day 3 – Departure (B)

• Morning: Breakfast at the lodge. Free time until transfer to Mulu Airport for your onward flight.
